St Joseph's College Blackpool

HELLO & WELCOME to the St Joseph's College Old Boys' Association's website. On our web pages you will find information about the Association, a History of the school, and details of past and future Events. There is also a Gallery of Photographs that includes images of Joes, and a Links page where you will, hopefully, find information of interest.

The website is not restricted to Members only. We look forward to hearing from any Old Boys who are not already members of the Association.

The Annual Reunion Dinner planned for Saturday 18th April 2020 has been postponed until a later date. No firm date has been fixed but late September or early October is being considered. This will depend on conditions improving somewhat and subject to prevailing Government legislation and guidelines.

For those who have paid, you can, if you wish, treat this as a prepayment for the rearranged Dinner. However if you do want a refund, please email the secretary, Garry Maddox

(Secretary's note: If you would like a refund, I would ask you to be a little patient though as our bank account doesn’t facilitate BACs payments and our cheques require two signatures.)
Any problems, please email the webmaster, John Ward or the secretary, Garry Maddox

The last Annual Reunion Dinner took place on Saturday 13th April 2019. The pictures are here. Click here to see them.

A lot of men who went to schools run by the Christian Brothers were emotionally hurt by their experiences. And many of these men tell me they have found counselling or therapy to be helpful later in life. One man who has experience of working with adults who experienced this kind of schooling is Rod Boothroyd. He offers deep personal counselling and profoundly healing group workshops. You can see more of what is on offer at If you would like to read more about the work Rod does, his book explains it all. You can find it here on Amazon.
