The House of Lords visit took place on 24th September 2009.

Doug Curson writes: An excellent, well-organised do. The weather superb, the company most affable, plenty of wine and a very pleasant lunch. There were about 60 in the party, most a deal younger than me, but a few I remembered (but did not immediately recognise) including David Lee and Terry Brophy.

Several had travelled down from the North and there were also visitors from Moscow and South Africa. Perhaps half were now resident in the South.

I took a number of photos at random and attach a few. Unfortunately there was no time to record all their names (had to get back to the wine, you know), so many must remain anonymous, to me at least.
Here are some photographs of the event. If you have any more, please send me copies. jvward2003@yahoo.com

These guys look like lords!
Bow, bow, ye lower middle classes!
Bow, bow, ye tradesmen, bow, ye masses!
Blow the trumpets, bang the brasses!
We are peers of highest station,
Paragons of legislation,
Pillars of the British nation!  Iolanthe
