OB used to run a lunchtime choir and conscripted anyone he thought could sing. He entered the choir in the Boys Grammar School section of a choir contest at the Cardinal Langley RC Grammar School in Middleton Manchester. As Joe’s was the only entrant in that section, they won with flying colours! OB wanted a recording of his triumph so he got a tape recorder from Paul Walker whose parents had an electrics business. The tape was taken to a record company who converted it to
10″ vinyl records. This section is The Glory of The Lord from Handel's
Messiah.
